THE BRIEF

The current site is originally a Methodist church constructed in 1981 and was converted into a kindergarten before becoming the home to Vitality Group in 2016. Vitality Group is an Allied Health centre offering Massage, Chiropractic, hypnotherapy, personal training, Pilates & yoga to name a few. The building is located in an affluent suburb of Melbourne, in the middle of the small retail village, however is easily missed due to the lack of signage and exposure to the street.

Our client has requested the POS, retail space, and reception area be redesigned to create a better experience for existing customers and be more inviting to attract new customers. It needs to be a place which customers feel a sense of community, comfort where they will be able to relax, unwind and be educated on the vast service offerings.

Design Solution

A functional space is created through careful spatial planning. In order to optimize the client experience, our team decided to redesign the POS counter to incorporate a tea bar. By doing so, we not only provide a convenient spot for clients to enjoy a refreshing beverage, but we also create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages relaxation and comfort. Furthermore, we have added an inviting lounge/waiting area complete with a cozy fireplace, enhancing the feeling of being at home and fostering a warm and friendly ambiance. These thoughtful design choices aim to make clients feel welcomed by our staff and provide them with a comforting environment while they wait.
